What a week it's been. It's only Tuesday but I have been on an adventure. This past weekend I was at the Long Island NACAC. That was a great fair for me. There were lots of interesting people to meet there. I also got the opportunity to see my sister and my newphews, who I haven't seen since I graduated in May. Now I am traveling to various locations in New Jersey near the Clinton area. I visit about 3-4 different schools a day. During my visits, I have met wonderful people. After this week, I'll be in Maryland (which is my first official trip there.) The week after that, I'm back in NYC doing the Big Apple College Fairs. If you are there, stop by and visit me.

- Hello, my name is Carrie J. Jackman. I am 22 years old and was born in Brooklyn, NY to Mr. and Mrs. Jackman. I have an older sister that is still living in New York with my sweet and wonderful nephews. I graduated from The UNC-Greensboro with a B.S. in Public Health Education with a concentration in Community Health Education this past May. I have a deep love and respect for all things health. Currently, I am an admissions counselor at LaRoche College in Pittsburgh, PA. I’m still relatively young so I haven’t totally figured out what path I want to take in life but I do know the importance of education. I hope to not only become the first masters’ degree holder in my family but the first doctor degree holder in my family. My family has not been afforded the same opportunities that I have to continue their education so I feel it is my duty to my loved ones to seize the opportunity.
